A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows you to nominate people that you trust (usually your husband or wife along with your children) to make decisions on your behalf, should you wish them to do so or if you become become unable to make decisions for yourself.

 

There are two types of LPA: Health and Welfare, and Property and Financial Affairs. Having an LPA in place can provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones, ensuring that your wishes are respected and your affairs are managed in your best interests.

Once made the LPA is valid for your lifetime.
